1st of all, anyone who'd be willing to admit they're gay is probably not uncomfortable with it. Therefore, your assertion that they "need to feel better" about themselves assume they have a problem with who they are. And, if they do have a problem with who they are, I wonder why. The fact is, there are MANY, MANY gay people. Believe it or not, I'm not the only one on this site. I know at least 5-6 people on this site who have come out to me over the last 2 years. What does that mean? It means thinking gay people don't exist is stupid. It also means asserting that gay people "want to make everyone else gay" is asinine. If anything, it's the other way around based on what society at large says. Gay people and homosexuality are still stigmatized.
