actually..."666" is mentioned in the Bible in Revelations 13:18.
As for "whats gonna happen", mabe a few rogue religious zealots will do something stupid, or a couple knuckleheads doing what knuckleheads do, but globally nothing signifigant will happen. Especially not any form of Doomsday. That'd be way too overt.
BTW, it's a calculation through numerology, not just "a number".
