What's funny is Locknes suggesting it was Satan. When Jesus confronted the religious leaders of his day, they not only accused him of being the messenger of satan, but Satan himself. Then, Jesus answered them by saying, "A house divided against itself can not stand." That means if it was really satan trying to "trick" me, I wouldn't grow closer to God as a result. Satan conspires to do the opposite.
