It's not a negative term. The term is used synonomously with "fun seeker" in this research. Adults are also coined "rebels" in this research. Something else I liked about this research is that it explained not only the differences in personality types, but that no one is better than another, just different. Their argument is, that if you want to "reach" students, you have to cater to their personality needs, which, for most is the need for socialization.
