what alot of people dont seem to realise is, hip hop isnt just music, its beatbox, break dance, graffiti, dj, MC, production e.t.c
in america that unity of all the elements no longer exists, but here, thats what its all about.... some of the greats in hip hop have said shit like "man i love the UK scene, all they wanna do is rhyme none stop, i went to deal real and theres heads havin cyphers all over the damn spot" also all the elements play equal parts in the scene(like it was in US back in the day)
shit, even kool herc(the founder of hip hop for those who dont know) has said he loves how the UK is working the culture and is honoured by the fact we show knowledge of what HIP HOP actually is(not rap.... but HIP HOP)
mos def came to perform at deal real one time(deal real being one of the biggest things goin off in london) and then the following deal real he came back to chill out and enjoy the event as a fan... shit black eyed peas went, and they got up and freestyled on the open mic, and did a pretty good job at it aswell.
