You're basing your entire views of rap off of the fake ass thug rappers who dream of being on BET and buying rims and shit? Of course you're not going to see how good it is if that's all you look at. That's the same shit the fucking critics do, they turn on BET or MTV, watch for a few minutes and think that's hip hop when we ALL know it's not. If the average american fan goes for bullshit, that doesn't mean the culture itself is fucked, it means the views of it got fucked. So if the average american emcee has to put out a certain kind of record because the label says so or because that's what the fans want, that doesn't take away his skill as an artist. UK heads have more freedom of expression but that in NO way means they have more skill B. If the UK has a more pure vision of hip hop then that's nice and shit, but skillwise, American hip hop will shit on UK hip hop any fucking day.
