My summer school teacher wants our class to do a documentary about the history of our school in hopes that the city will give us money to fund a rebuilding of certain areas and shit, so today, we got to go up to the archives.
Apparently, when everything got moved out of the cafeteria, they just fuckin tossed it at the top of the auditorium and we had to organize and shit a little bit more.
The dopest part though was how fuckin old a lot of it was. I found a couple newspapers from 1886, one that was talking about guys from our city forming an anti-Chinese orginazation. =/ We ended up finding yearbooks from 1901 to the present and a whole archive of school weekly newspapers from about 1926 to the present. I also found a lot of pictures from 1900-1920 and memory books and gradebooks and attendance records and it was just bananas IMO. Hopefully next week when we go up I can read more of the things, today I just got to flip through it but it was still illy.
