I slightly felt some contridiction in your post, saying you belive in god yet you live life by what is fact.
Fact to one person these days may not be fact to the next, I also belive in a form of god, I am yet to figure what he or she really is or isnt. But there is no raw facts to back the argument on god, its all personal point of view.
This is what Existentialism looks at, individual point of view and it leaves things open for the person studying, to take his or her previous philisophical knowledge and accumulate there own assumtion/facts on whatever topic they are trying to fullfill.
I say fact/assumtion, cause these days they can easily co-exist hand in hand.

You realise most of the main philosophers who get called existentialists deny thats what they are...
BTW- Theres no contradiction in my post... I said I seldom believe things based on probability, not never... And I also said "if there even is one" refering to god if you noticed..
And lastly........A life less learned? How is that?
I dont refuse to read baseless philosophies, or even create my own sometimes.
Most knowledge begins based on philosophies and educated guesses.
But speculating on something, and believing something are two different things.
Also.....I dont really know what you mean by there being a lack of facts these days.............I think youll find its quite the oppisite...
Theres more 'facts' now than ever before in our species entire history.... Most with pretty damn reliable sources... In science atleast...
