Shit is reminding me of The Rach 3 by Rachmaninoff and Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.

Ummm... Its a long shot but maybe a version of Beethoven's Violin Romance with the pitch edited so its flat.

Some similar ones to that that might not actually contain that are like... Nocturne in G minor by Chopin, Funeral March and Raindrops Prelude by him as well.
