God only requires 10%. Everything else is an offering. And, based on the principles of sowing and reaping, you WILL reap more if you SOW more. So, in that sense, you are correct.
Here's what the bible says about it:
2 Corinthians 9:6
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
