I always feel like telling zen buddhists to get a grip.
They themselves want people to think a certain way aswell. Really, if you never became influenced by that ####, wouldnt you be more phased with the every day on goings in the world and take everything a lot more seriously?
And that would create a different perception of life for you. Unhindered by the zen mindframe.
It is a diversion, because its own views contradict its meaning. Nobody should pay it all that much attention beyond understanding its simple values.

"Put" into this world by what? And for what reason?
Its not really preaching against the conditioning, its preaching for seeing through it. You dont blame people for things they cant control, and generally people cant control anything.
And yeah I would actually be feeling a lot ######## a lot more of the time.
Man like I said before, you really need to look into it to know what im on about. What you're proposing is that I would be happier if I DIDNT see through a lot of delusions that cause meaningless suffering, and that zen hinders perception of life... It doesnt make sense.
Did you know students of zen get scolded for becoming attached to zen? If you become attached to detachment, you've lost the plot just as much as if you were still attached to worldly things. Thats why they refer to it as non-attachment, instead of detachment. There is no extremes, yet there is always fluctuation of extremes to keep the balance, but no attachment or detachment to these things or anything.
Man the kind of life YOU live could equally be considered a diversion. So how does it follow that zen is a diversion from a diversion that teaches you not to get diverted... ?
