Horror movies can be broken down into 3 components:
1. Reflex Factor
2. Reality Factor
3. Blood/gore factor
^Depending on the individual, those variables are weighted in a particular order. For me, 2>3>1
So, I love horror movies with a high degree of reality factor, which, incidentally, is what I feel makes a movie truly "scary". But, then after that, I love blood and gore. So, for me, I found Saw 2 entertaining because of it's creativity in how the people were killed, as well as the eeriness of being kidnapped and locked up somewhere.
