but i agree with all the people in this thread who believe that the UN and charities do far less than they can be doing...and as for the US's involvement (or lack of should i say) why use your world superpower status for something noble when you can attempt to maximise profit...thats how these SOB's operate..they may not have said it for the record but actions speak louder than words...
