cause rap music is a younger generation. You need to be able to appeal to your audiance. Rap music(sadly) is about being a player, having woman, money, guns, drugs not giving a fuck, living a non stop life.
But when we grow up, we dont live that life, most settle down, get married and have kids. They want to be a role model for there kids,so you cant make appealing music when your living in the hills with ya wifey and kids. In saying that alot of emcee's are still making music when they have settled down.
Not to mention if you are forty and sitll a raw street cunt, drinking fortys, smoking newports and living hard, then you gone get laughed at for being a old ass bum.
Also, rap music is stressfull, the music industry is stressfull, so why stay in a game getting stressed out, when ya got enough cash to sit back, press a few buttons, click the mouse a couple a time and be paid for co production of a the track.
