Flow is defined by syllables that cooperate with the beat in question, while the rhyming has to be virtually flawless and not choppy fragments. The dope verse has a climax of some sort that gives it that polish and sheen.


Dopeness has to be on par with what logically constitutes a brilliant verse that incorporates all aspects of lyricism. The climax might consist of a solid punch, a line of outstanding wordplay, or a witty metaphor. Simply put, any one favorite rapper can be your own, nobody can change that, but universally, you have to give credit where its due.

If you prefer listening to Lil Wayne over KRS-One, perfectly fine, even I can understand why (lol), but you gotta get real and know who's the better MC of the two.
