What counts is getting a girl that you can see yourself growing old with. What happens when her looks are gone and all you have left is her personality? Divorce, child support, and all in all kids who will probably hate you because you chose the wrong woman.
Choose a girl that you like her personality first. Looks should be a bonus, not the thing you look for.
