^^I agree with you on everything you said. And, after listening again myself, I can see how you'd have a tough time deciphering the hook. But, on thing about my tracks/hooks is that it takes repeated listenings to get the full effect. I layered my hook x 9, NINE!

As far as my quality, it's compromised because Tito has to post-mix tweak the levels. That probably lowered it some.
