I think with the whole no-showing shit, alot of people wait till the last minute to see if their opponent has showed, hoping they can drop a six line piece of bullshit. I think making people drop a real verse is good. A real verse doesn't take long, I generally key mine up in the space of 20 minutes. The most I've ever taken was 45 minutes on a verse. And the fact that if they don't show you can edit your verse out so you ain't wasting punchlines, and therefore if you are clever enough to keep the verse, you've got punches already for the next weeks battle you have. Word.
