i dunno about you guys, but i can't think of ONE RAPPER who was told "you're gona make it!" Every rapper hears that they won't make it. shit, everybody in every field of music hears they won't make it!!

the reality is, you don't know wtf is in peoples heads. you don't know someone's drive. or their ability. or their reach, or their plan... or...really..anything. all you know is some tracks you heard on a message board - if that.

personally i think oyd is wack. but look at atmosphere dude, they're not looking to be a slave on a major label, and they make dough. they're completely satisfied with whre they'er at in music and their fans (in minnisota) go absolutely buck wild when they see em. look at vipir records. look at baby grande. i could go on and on dude, there's artists who put out nothing but mixtapes and are fuckin loaded son, AND work at their own pace AND have full creative control of their music.

and once again, everyone told them they would never make it too.

i could go on and on man there's hundreds if not thousands of artists who aren't looking to be uber celebreties and are still completely happy in music.
