Word. There's this girl I know who had a kid too young because she made a mistake, plain and simple. She gave up going to college on a full scholarship to raise the kid right, and now she just earns minimum wage barely scraping up enough to keep everything running. I respect her and care for her so much as a person, so I buy her things and give her money all the time for whatever she needs because I know she deserves more than she gets. I convinced her to try and get promoted, so she tried, passed the schooling that it took to do so and is now just waiting for a position to open up.
Why do I feel good about this? I didn't have to wait for us to have a sexual relationship, or even make it a priority to give to her. I just did because I like and respect her as a person. Like it or not, that's way more than you can say about most people, especially men, in this world.
