^ Wayne sounds like he was born and raised in New Orleans, as he was... its a different sound than ATL. And as far as Gillie goes, its a known fact he was signed to cash money to write for the boys back when they were TRASH, so of course Wayne's gonna pick up a few slang words n shit from him... what's your point? Wayne got the respect he has after Tha Carter dropped, when he started going MEAN on the mixtapes, and MEAN on Tha Carter II... the exact time when Gillie admits that he DIDN'T write for Wayne.

and I know you aren't posting up lyrics to read as a text BATTLE, but when you READ lyrics instead of listen to them, that's called text (bafoon). And my point is, hip-hop is an art far greater than punchlines... since when did the focus of hip-hop become punchlines and making people say "that was dope"? Hip-hop is the voice of the artist... sure you're supposed to use figurative language, just like in poetry, and be creative in how you say shit, and that's EXACTLY what Wayne is doing. EVERYBODY in the world doesn't have to spit like J.R. Writer. I mean seriously, who the fuck is J.R. Writer to be comparing cats to anyways??? The only reason Writer IS famous is because of his punchlines... its not like you're comparing dudes to a legend like Pac, Jay or Nas. Name one legendary hip-hop artist that spits like J.R. Writer, using STRAIGHT punchlines. I swear sometimes it seems like cats from certain cities, Detroit, Philly, ect. got it twisted like thats all that matters now b/c that's the style out of their city.
