Persona vs. Ego

IP:

This is the current philosophy I'm focused on. I've been reading books on "Universal Principles" lately. And, this concept struck me as relevant to everyone.

Persona is the image we project to other people. The way we act/dress/speak in attempts to seem "right" or "appropriate" for the situation. An example would be the way we act/speak when around someone who is supposedly "important." Often times, we suppress our true feelings and who we are to comform to the status quo.

Ego, on the other hand, is defined as who you truly are. It goes deeper than wanting to wear certain clothes, or acting your own way. It's your TRUE essence, that deep/spiritual part of what your purpose is on earth. We all know intuitively who we are. But, society puts pressure on people to not be themselves at all times. As a result, much of our dealings with each other are shallow and quite superficial. There's no deep connection of love, the way God intended it to be in the first place. And, as an ultimate price to pay, many of us never reach our potential out of fear of who we truly are, how POWERFUL we truly are.

Step up and step out.

^^And, yes, I'm encouraging myself.
