The rain pours down his neck as he hangs his head low
The murky tombstone peers and stands beyond the hedge row
its then that he fights she was the one that everybody likes
With “devoted mother” lit up upon the cemetery lights
Now as a tear adds to the rain he try’s to reminisce
All from his mother’s comfort and her tender kiss
To amend the shit that brought her to a tragic death
He was there as she died and watched her static breath
Erratic… yes he watched her die before himself
he tried to endure the frail, and now it all is hell
Bitter irony being his most hurt day was his birthday
She was making peace with his father in the worst way
She only popped out to meet him to make amends
But that was last time he saw her... as fate portends
And still he blames his father to this very day of pain
