lasers does not input sounds from a CD or Data Disk. A laser reads the information on the disc because it is imprinted backwards onto the glass, with a mirror reflection back so the laser can identify and read the information, sending that information to the processor (whether it's a music reader & producer, or an installation disc for a computer, the lasers need to read it and use it for a purpose).

The wires are the electric charge being carried to the speakers in which create a boom process to the ear drum and that's how we hear it. lol. Didn't know you were interested in this kind of crap.
