me and some friends were smokin dope in the cemy/
after some draws of the shit we were gettin merry/
didnt have no respect for the folks that been buried/
heard voices just thought i was paranoid/
turned out it was cops who we try to avoid/
flashed their lights in our faces cudnt c/
started to panic and decided to flee/
the punks had jumped us unaware/
traces of drugs were everywhere/
didnt look back as i ran as fast as i can/
wanted to avoid gettin a beat down cos im a blak man/
all i heard was the wind rushing by/
mind racin tryin to think of an alibi/
slowed down cos there was people nearby/
turned round to see if i was bein followed/
tryin not to panic, time i'm livin on is borrowed/
walked along the road home thoughts runnin in my dome/
regret leavin a smokin cone hear my ringin fone/
pick up and i see its one of my homies/
start speakin and ask what the low down is/
everything cool cos we all gave the pigs a miss/
