I think freestyling is just one small aspect of being a rapper...
When you get into the debate of who's the greatest of all time, I think it hinges upon what core fundamentals people value the most--i.e., freestyling, writing, rapping.

Yeh, there are a few things that make a good emcee. But to me a dope rapper doesnt need to be able to freestyle or battle.
Emcee I support to the death is Royce 59. He cant battle, but I dont sit here and say he is a weak emcee cause of it. Same goes for a few other dope emcees, they are strong in one point, and weaker or even wack at another.
I think this thread should be, whats makes a rapper NOT a rapper. Then we can filter out the reasons why too many emcees getting radio play are wack as fuck and have a huge following.
