Dude, you might be better off bench pressing man. Man boobs ain't no joke....lol. You gotta change all that fat into muscle which probably ain't gonna work with just regular old push ups. But if you're so stuck on doing push ups, you should do sets just like you would with any other type of work out. And you can do close hand, wide arm, and regular push ups. Try to do it often as well, like every other day.
If you want to see your improvement, test yourself. Take a stop watch and time how many you can do in 2 minutes. The average standard for the army is about 40 for males at a minimum. Of course it all depends on your age group. To get 100% on the army physical fitness test in my age group I have to do 75......which I do
