I've been earning my fine arts degree in audio production for 6 months now. I've been learning a lot and unless you have certain things to go with pro-tools you know the right accessories than it's a waste of money. Cubase has a lot of plug-ins STOCK that pro-tools makes you pay cake for. So you can check um both out. Pro-Tools is really nothing special unless it's HD.
