If you want to go to sniper school, most likely you would have to be an 11B (Infantryman) first. Fixing guns you can do......I think its something like 45B or something like that. Its called small arms repairer. You'd be the armorer (person in charge of all the weapons and responsible for their safe keeping) for whatever unit you went to most likely. But yeah, its all about what you're trying to get from the army. If you want a job for 4 years that will give you some good experience on the outside, I would say stay away from infantry and go with that 25 series MOS. If you want to make the army a career, I'd say steer more into a combat arms MOS such as Infantry or Field Artillery. You might not like the job as much, but promotions come real quick and you get to go to a bunch of cool ass schools like Ranger Training or Airborne school.
