They do. They just put their best ball handler in there. You don't have to be a scorer or even know how to play defense, all you have to do is be able to keep the ball from a defender and give it to your best scorers. For some reason Cassell thinks he's supposed to be one of the primary scorers whenever he's in the game, which is why he gets limited playing time. Rondo has embraced his role, but he's taken it a little too far. You have to know when to shoot as well. He gets wide open looks that he passes up with the shot clock low because he knows he's not supposed to be a scorer.
He is, however, getting better. I can see him being a very good point guard who is over shadowed by the better scorers on a team sort of
how Eric Snow was his whole career. He plays good defense, handles the ball well, can score when he needs to, now all he needs to do is learn how to make some better decisions, which takes experience
