You said I hate when black people do the bla bla towel thing. Understandable. You didn't say I hate when people do the towel thing, you just said you hate when black people do it. That COULD mean that you only hate it when black people do it, but if other people do it it's okay. Which isn't what you meant, which further stresses the question on why you didn't just say you hate when people do it in general. Whatever it is, something about them being black and doing it made it somehow worst than if a white person did it, or else you wouldn't have specifically brought up race.
