That is a bunch of bullshit. As far as the red ring, I've had my Elite since they were first released as have a great number of my friends and they have never had a case of the red ring, nor have their friends who are Elite owners. Quite frankly, I've never heard of a case of the red ring of death on the Elite.
Second of all, the new PS3 that is coming out or maybe has been released recently in other countries is the 80GB hard drive dumb ass. Also, funny story about the 120GB because Microsoft are working on bringing out a 180GB hard drive.. so that fucks over the PS3 AGAIN.
The 360 is worth more, you get more games, more playability, better online gaming and much more. The PS3 can't compete with the 360 for the simple reason of MONEY. Microsoft has more. The Playstation 3 is shit.. I would probably pay £240 at the most.. instead of the £300 price tag they have on it right now. Whereas the 360 Elite, I would still pay now around £350 for the package I would be receiving.. and yet the actual price is only £260.
