As if giving out hundreds of thousands of dollars to the public, but there are still only so many options that the public will take, spend in masse, or save. either way the economy is either being replenished by spending, or banks will have savings to lend out again to invigorate that way. i see either way as a positive. It is just you and everybody else who doesn't understand how capitalism works.

Do you really think I'd be sitting here arguing against a couple hundred thousand dollars if I didn't think it'd fail? Of fucking course I want a few hundred grand, but that's not going to work. Giving money to everybody will not help the financial situation at all.

If capital isn't being generated, capitalism can't work. Most people just don't understand capitalism, and I normally don't have any reason to blame anybody for that, except right now the people who are making the decisions on the bailout NEED to understand what they're doing by not passing it. They don't get it. I don't care if anybody else on this site gets it except for me -- hoping for a $400,000 check accomplishes nothing and will not happen because it doesn't make any sense, as it's not a solution to the problem we're having.

There's a reason why Warren Buffet came out this weekend and said we needed this bailout. Everybody who understands capitalism knows we need this bailout. People who don't understand capitalism hope for a big ass check, or think that giving a big ass check to everybody will solve something. It won't.

The bailout needs to be passed, and I really hope Congress changes their mind on Thursday or there's a pretty decent chance that we're all going to find ourselves in deep shit.
