Monte Cristo:

3 slices of white bread (double-decker sandwich)
1 half is turkey and swiss, the other half is ham and cheddar
Make the sandwich, cut it diagonally
Dunk each half in the batter (egg and milk)
Then fry it in olive oil until it's beautifully golden brown all over
Lightly dust with powdered sugar, and rasperry jelly on the side (you're white, you'll understand)

It's almost like a donut sandwich.
