And yes it's what Xbox Live is charging people for. Afterall, they did buy rights to a majority of the games they are hosting on their server, and other than that, there's a very small amount of third party servers hosting their games on the Live server, meaning that Microsoft either made the games, has rights to the games, or an outer company is hosting their game (The last occasion is very rare)

And naturally, Sony is following the course it should. Remember the game Myth for the computer made by an ancient, un-purchased by Microsoft 'Bungie'? Because it was ran on the Bungie server (main party) and Bungie was purchased by Microsoft, thus closing off the Myth series, the main party server was switched to a third party, and people TO THIS DAY, play Myth against each other online.

Therefore Sony's methods are not only more compatible to people than Microsoft, but, they are able to transfer from third party company to Person hosted servers thus they can continue as long as the game is out.

The microsoft server will only continue as long as Microsoft wants it.

So again, with the point you've made, Sony is outdoing Microsoft, unless Microsoft wants to keep up a war based on their own flaws.

You misunderstood. When I said third party, I meant a dedicated server hosting company.

But anyway, by the way you're arguing, it's clear that you balance Microsoft's checkbook and handle their funds. So, I can't really argue with you, bud.

P.S. - Myth is dope.
