Look below, you see that wide open space between where you'd see the TV and the buttons? All that black? That's the case, you skip that, you don't measure that. Generally what I'm saying is with most models, you will have a smaller screen than what it measures side to side.
Although... Measuring it diagonal allows for a broader stretch.
It's measured diagonally to give an idea of the dimensions of the projection, not to say you have a Very Large TV.

i am well aware that you only measure screen, i was simply stating that the diagonal measurent of a 4-sided shape with 4 right angles will be larger than the length of each individial side. sorry if you misunderstood.
