well for starters... american invasion wouldnt begin with ground troops...
it would begin with carpet bombing and site bombing..... If I was a military leader of a country with a formidible army and technology on par or above american levels..
I would first bomb key figures like the whitehouse, the pentagon would have to be hit with a hell of a lot, major bridges especially in the larger towns.... highway sections to cut people off from travel... big military bases... I'd make sure the president and the vice president were assasinated....
essentually the american media would go into a massive frenzy, fear campaigns would ensure, america would take up arms and go into crazy "oh fuck were being attacked, this shit is hardcore" mode.... then I would spend a few weeks monitoring satalites of where people are trying to go predominantly, where military bases are being set up......all the time while still bombing the shit out of the land, all strategic targets...
immobilise america...
Technology wise, I would probably develop mostly silent stealthy space satalite big fuck off missle launching devices which I would position fucking everywhere to try n sneak em in all quickly and quietly within days before they start dropping space missles above the radar.. I would be as anonymous as possible playing games with the american media and internet... My ground troops wouldnt even come into play untill america is basically a carpet bombed, electricity lacking, fuel lacking, food strained state of martial law and I wouldnt begin with mass troop deployment I would begin with commando teams to do certain ground work before I'd even think of opening the flood gates, setting up mass public caged holding ground camps for people who surrender which would be plentyful..
then it would be a systematic fuck off killer campaign for all oposing forces from the public, cities and military bases...
to be honest, it is possible with the resources and years of calculated strategic planning, aswell as attacks on allied countries who would send aid...
and dont feel too safe either... america is losing its grasp of the super-power status. china is a dragon wading in the reeds, russia is another possible candidate...
believe me these type of countries could already have all mannor of plans under wraps just waiting for the right moment...
wars arnt fought on the ground tho man thats ultimatly what im saying.. a war on america would be a media and bombing war.... disarming the public would be a lot easier in the face of death from a formidable force sweeping through the country being thrown through the american media where everyone would be going "OH SHIT, CRAP YOUR PANTS AMERICA SOME REAL SHITS GOING DOWN OMG OMG OMG OMG"
but meh, what do I know.... nada....
