Its a lifestyle
1999, I was only 9, and started to rap, It was the golden age
chilling with Budda smoking haze, lyrics considered spoken flames,
potent brains making punchlines and realness, controlled the game,
its about time they feel this, call me bobericc, see me hold my rage
release it then know my name... now robotic drums and basic bass
take the place of originality, a sick mentality that changes taste
at crazy rates... now we're played today because the shit we spit
we grew into it, the best gems that the next gen flips again
innocence trickling in the tears I shed for hip hop's liveness
I've been up crying over rap shows turned into sitcom's, dieing..
and this shits not rising, I feel like everyone has lost interest
your stopping the vets, everyones concentrated on topping the next
piece, its unsettling.. so I pretend that it's still evolving
that rap is real involving, that our world is still revolving
because..
It's not music
It's a lifestyle
