First though, ruin battles leagues? LOL RV hasn’t had a successful battle league since early 2006. And that was ran by someone OUTSIDE of RV and he brought battlers OUTSIDE of RV to battle. All the top heads on RV joined the league. NONE of them ever champed it. Tells you something, huh? Even that struggled a bit tho. Before that, the last good tourney and league on RV was KORV 3 and the 1-2-1 league ran by Datruzhurts (again, dude from outside of RV). So please, don’t act like shit’s been poppin’ recently. It’s been subpar leagues for a good 3 years or so.

And who said we were the best? We’ve just battled on a lot of the better battle sites out there that have been around since ’97. So you see more lines. So we just said LOL @ some of the concepts some of the newer RV heads are using were used on these other sites 3-4 years ago. And the more experienced creative techniques go over these dude’s heads. So it’s almost like you need to dumb it down to battle here. Just ask Kirk. Kirk came with more creativity, Snocap came simple and with concepts played to death. Yet he almost won. The voting here sucks. And one or two people can’t change that.

Then the leagues themselves. No offense to Civil, but dude really needs to stop focusing on making the league more complex. I ain’t trying to shit on Civil, I give him props cuz he seems like he really wants to try to make shit work. But he’s doing it the wrong way. All that extra weird shit just worsens the league. Just keep it simple, and put more effort. Those 5 min one page mags aren’t gonna cut it. Look at BW with the BBL, RM with the RBL, even here on RV look how Kempo did the LBL. What was one of the biggest drawing points of the league? The Mag. David Lama included pictures of members and made his mags witty and creative. It drew TONS of people into the league. Made them give more effort since the mod was putting so much effort. So don’t expect anymore than 5 mins of effort from the battlers in the league if you putting only that much into the mags. Overall, RV needs lot more than just one or two people to help. All the actual text heads who had some talent, don’t even battle anymore. Most do audio, or most left the site to battle other places. And others got off the net. So don’t act like it’s only one or two heads causing the problem. Seriously, the RBL right now is full of crap right now. Way worse than when it was in it’s prime with over 100 members. And yet it still shits on this league. I’d love to see you, snocap, cali or whoever dropping old shit and claims it hot to go post a verse there. And see what’s really good.
