My cousin always tells me the same advice over and over again...allow other people to make mistakes, and just continue to give them advice so they go in the right direction

which, although im not super religous, but do belive in a god, is what the bible does. It gives advice to allow you to hopefully make the right choices.

All you can do is give your sister and father the best advice that you feel will help them, and if they choose to do their own thing, than its on them.

You can't control your sisters mind, and beating up her abusive b/f isn't going to change anything, other than get you into trouble.

I understand that its your sister, and I myself have 2 younger sisters who I will protect once their at the age of having bf's, but ultimatley its up to your sister to make the choices and live with those consequences and its up to you to always be their to support her.

But dont get my words twisted up, make sure you make a clear point that if that faggot ever touches your sister again with his hands, or try's to puff his chest up and throw shit around...that you WILL do something about it.

either way, to each their own...good luck, its a tough situation to be in.
