A Prisoner's Prayer

IP:

The prisoner has one day till trial
full of pain full of denial

as he kneels down to say "The out Father"
confessing his sins to the holy mother
i'm sorry for what i've become
i'm sorry for what i have done
i'm sorry i'm full of darkness and not any sun

I don't deserve to live, he says in a echoeing cry
I wish i could lay to rest and just die

forgive me god for all of my stealings
i pray for those families that need your healings
i'm crying and suffer from all my killings
why is it i have no love in my feelings

as he prays for his family and prays for the others
he prays for religion he prays for comfort

why couldnt i be a better older brother
or a great son to my life giving mother

instead my decisions were full of corruption
couldnt give in to my evil temptation
I didnt even feel bad, what i got was sensation
as he walked in the court room with hesitation
with the look of sorrow on his facial expression
the look on the judge, full of tention
as he sits on the stand making confession
i'm sorry for what i have done put me in prison
as his eyes turn to a blurry fission
full of watery vision

In his cell he lays
knowing he's there forever,knowing he'll stay
finally relieved and put to rest
he's trough with life through with this test

this thing called life
for things people do for all they strife
this poem is for souls left behind
all gentle but yet unkind
blind
to all who won't listen
to a prisoner's prayers
to all there confessions
