Hip Hop Story
IP:
You have to be real to the game its a definite requirement/
Fake emcees lose their breath quick prepare for a early retirement/
Grab the microphone in your hand and study/
Collaboration means two spit nice so grab a buddy/
Vocabulary is key to those creative and raw/
Creativity is a issue some emcees never saw/
Blinded by battle drawn masculinity but still faded by their lyrics vulnerability/
A emcee on a stage with another eye to eye/
With sweat pourin from their forehead the crowds hands to the sky/
Cheerin for the first emcee hangin on every word they drop/
Thats whats exciting, I love the game of hip hop/
Applause grows louder with every pause/
Anticipation like the arrival of the Santa Claus/
Let the battle begin, No tail between the legs no pussies from here on in/
The mic's heatin up, seeing the turntables spin/
Only question now is who will win?
Rapper A comes off with a fast attack/
All Rapper B can do is watch and stand back/
Rapper A starts spittin off the meter he's goin long/
The crowd startin to realize hes made a mistake/
He stops and realizes what he did wrong/
Rapper A came out and spit something fake/
The crowd sits in awe as Rapper B takes the mic/
Blowin off vocab and multies that draw and excite/
Rapper A is losin the crowd's momentum fast/
He sittin here thinkin "How long can this last"/
You came off fake and this was your mistake/
And now the fanbase is on Rapper B's side to take/
The announcer comes into to intervene/
That Rapper B swept Rapper A rather clean/
Came off with multies and meta's that were mean/
Now Rapper A's ass hurts filled with vasoline/
Gettin Eaten is apart of this game we play/
Some emcees cant take it and leave the game the same way/
The Sultans of Rap did this to myself/
But I dont need anyone no need to cry for help/
I love the Open Mic its my home/
And sooner of later I want the monarchy to own the throne/
But I'll try hard to spit and impress/
For these thoughts in my mind put on the paper to express/
Cause this is my heart and this what I do/
So you tell me what Hip Hop does for you/
