couldn't wait till Tuesday:

-It's a cold midnight, and the moon gives a dim light over the city.
The moon goes unnoticed, however, due to the streetlights and general city noise disturbing tonight's tranquility.
Johnny steps out of the back of the non-descript compact car, not a luxury vehicle, but not a hunk of junk either.
Two other men exit the car and usher him towards the building they're standing in front of,
a popular club with a fluorscent sign flashing "Club 96" out front.
There is a long lineup filled with women is slutty clothes and men trying to look tough, all hoping that they will get in.
Johnny's escorts from the car bring him into the club without a protest from the bouncer.
He just nods, and gets back to work.
When they enter, a loud hip hop song is playing, but Johnny hardly notices.
Today, in this hour,he would finally meet The Don. He gets brought to a back room, and here we begin-

*through Johnny's eyes*
I stumble into the room, my mind races a mile a minute,
hoping my life will resume, rather than a slum, infinite/
before I know, I'm being offered a seat with a large man,
in both power and size, if anyone can pick me up, he can/
"So you must be Johnny", The Don's voice rang out cordially,
"Are you dedicated to us? Yes, You remind me of a young me"/
I find myself stunned, this man is just a human with wealth,
somehow I'm silent,"What do you have to say for yourself?"/
The Don asks me, and stands there awaiting my nervous answer,
I wrack my brain for the words,"I will do what I can, sir"/
that came out meekly, but I see intelligence in his glance,
"Well that is all we can ask of you, So I offer a chance..."/

*through The Don's eyes*
he's a junior, a novice, barely out of his university,
but he's what we need, no friends, abandoned by family/
all he knows is money laundering, and how to be a driver,
never murder, or any violence, he's innocent, every fiber/
"You can be a big shot, working directly from me" I say,
like kidnapping little girls, I steal his innocence away/
"this won't come easily, however, you must perform a task.
you have to assassinate this man, do exactly what I ask/
and all will be yours, money, power, people will fear you,
do as I say, women'll have their dreams fulfilled near you"
/

*through the bodyguard's eyes"
who is this kid anyways? went across town to bring him here,
I don't trust him very much, all he shows is artificial fear/
He's the worst kind of pussy, like stank up a short skirt,
My eyes wander, there's a round outline against his shirt/
it leads to his "pager"....I think I better tell the Don,
He might be endangered, he needs to know what's going on..../

-The bodyguard whispers in the Don's ear, and Johnny sits there looking excited at his new task.-

*through Johnny's eyes again*
This is more than I'd hoped, this will be an amazing assignment,
before I got here tonight, I never knew that "fine line" meant/
dividing the right and wrong, combining black and white to grey,
"It seems you wasted your chance, kid" I hear a furious Don say/
"What do you mean sir? I couldn't have disobeyed your orders yet"
"Is that so, you ignorant little deushe, How stupid can you get?/
I offer you the heavens, and in return I get nothing but betrayal,
you could have lived the high life, but now my patience grows stale"
/
I squint my eyes, he don't trust me,I guess the guard ratted-me-out,
what lay my wrong here? no apprecitation? I should've added-devout/
The Don kisses both my cheeks, they're burning like a raging fire,
hot lead kisses me next, there are consequences to wearing a wire/
----------------------------------------

The bullets hit his chest, not yet making him a mortician's patient,
he gasps for air, or a grip on reality, but his inability is blatant/
be woeful for Johnny's story, he couldn't make it in life on his own,
dying at the hands of mobsters, for wearing his handsfree cell phone/
hearing goes, and pain is all thats left until he loses his sightlines,
Johnny's fate, decided before he was offered the chance of a lifetime/

-The night goes on as usual at club 96. The sound of the gunshots is drowned out by a fast dance beat,
and everyone just goes about their buissness.
And nobody sees the bodyguard and another man carry a large zipped up bag out the back entrance.
Johnny death goes unnoticed by all.
The World still turns, and another kid is offered the chance-

so, in case you didn't catch it, the kid wasn't wearing a wire for the cops, he was just wearing one of those
cell phones that go right to your ear with the mic on your collar.
