Ha ha ha...backpackers aren't destroying anything. I suppose I am, by you all's stand points, a backpacker. Why? Because I don't listen to that garbage gangsta music and that stupid club shit that I swear decreases my IQ whenever I hear it. Just because I listen to someone that is actually poetical with words and can actually make a song that's worth a damn. I am a backpacker because I listen to artists that inspire and try to raise the level in Hip-Hop, explore new areas, and expand upon the culture. That is what you're definition of a backpacker is: anyone that listens to the different.

But I don't care, I like being a backpacker ( by your definition) and I will continue to love my "backpacking" music. Ah but wait, I listen to Nas, Scarface, Tupac, The Roots, dead prez, Public Enemy, and Run DMC. So I suppose if any of you fools listen to that, join the group, you must be a backpacker. Because how can a backpacker possibly listen to something of the mainstream that is of actual quality? IT'S UNHEARD OF!!!!!! I hope one of you has a seizure and burst a blood vessel thinking about this too hard. "He listens to some of my music, but he is a damned backpacker. Does that make me a backpacker? Ow, my head hurts."

I pick my music well. I have listened to both sides of the world and I must say that the undergound is much better. Of course I hated Aesop Rock when I first heard him. Duh, he was different, but now he is my favorite artist. I gave the underground a chance and now I see that it is far superior to the mainstream drivel that you hear on a typical Def Jam album. I own Jay-Z albums, I own DMX albums, I have Ja Rule's Venni Vetti Vecci, and now all of those albums are tucked away and I'm trying to get rid of them. I don't want them at all. They are garbage.

So don't judge me and blame me for "the down-fall of Hip-Hop," because I am the one who is willing to give that new artist, that unheard artist a chance and listen to him and hear what he has to say. I don't pass anything up. I even gave 50 Cent a listen to, and you know what, his ass is trash. If you don't like it, I don't care. My opinion, my reasons.
