First off, people do like punchlines.. but not it's not their focus, lyrics are damn near the last thing people who buy albums are thinking about they think about the beats, the vibe, the voice, the flow, the delivery NOT what the man is saying. My examples? Ja Rule, Nelly, Fat Joe, Master P, Cam'ron etc.. Need more?
