A Song About A Friend
IP:
..."he lurked out of the darkness...."
Sitting in my room, conversing with the moon
asking why his fullest nights attract the wolves,
why does he sulk, turn the night to a failure
as he turns into a boat for the invisible sailor,
he sulks into depression, back to the failure,
he compares himself to the sun, the hater
i explain his contrast makes his light greater,
safe to savor, what he has is divine as nights,
where it's so dark, the blackness seems like light
when nothings left, your right, sight crashes in,
the moon is traumatized, he has seen man's worst actions
and whatever his life was worth has been cashed in,
for a faction of distractions even people landing on him
standing on his last whim poking flags in his skin,
his future's reaper, damn it is grim, he still stands tall
after all he deals with, the faces of evil, envy and hatred,
the difficulty of being the brightest thing in the darkest of places,
dismay so sacred, he tries to help, and is shown off
like a spectacle of a man having sex while soft,
no meaning no feeling no complete reasoning just a show
he doesn't realize he is one's crutch, off him they grow
and glow no matter what the weather spins through his tether
even though he doesn't blend, his difference is for the better,
he shine's in the night like that girl does in my life,
but he moves often, no sign of stoppin', or going on a limb
because the sun steals the show, and no one even notices him
he feels left out, sad alone, he groans, his inside's shrink
but i look in the sky, see my pale guy, let my eye wink
the action he can't believe someone cares! he thinks likin' this
then rain falls, when i go inside my house hiding from him,
back to nothingness the only thing to hold on to, he knows
he has seen, the righteous, the nicest, the killin's, and assholes,
but no one really care's, so he drops his sight back to the shadows...
the mayfly only lives one day, and sometimes it rains.....
meaning....
"try to see what others see of you, don't lessen your self with a depreciative perspective...some of the greatest people hide themselves because they don't see what they really mean to someone else...."
