If I only could...

If I could only open up my heart, and see through my mind
I'd live inbetween, while I redefined the lines
learn that struggels take time.. so I can justify the cause
achieve morality through my means... search for worldly truths in laws
life's a rush so I just pause... I'd survey the situation
I won't ever be complacent, so I remold manipulation
here comes the stipulation... I must fall and I must fail
I'll go against the current, but fall and drown to no avail
why can I not sail? The wind is there it just confuses me
twirling from the inside... observers can't see how it bruises me
I don't care for what I used to be, and now my mirror's full of lime
a man's made up of his experience.. guess I forgot to pocket mine
and if forgetting is a crime... surely I'm guilty of intent
I changed, began to climb... that was really a descent
I'm so caught up on rent, I believe I'm a utility
you can buy my soul... again... a repeat product of futility
where is this ability... to do? to think? to be?
worthlessness loses meaning, when I wish I weren't me
will that current cease? or can I make it? ... I'm no good
