Add on if you like, but most importantly, ask yourself: Am I truly happy with this piece. If you think you are, leave it alone. But until you feel that the piece is complete, then by God, make ever change to it until you feel that it is complete.
When I first started reading it.....I was reminded of John Milton's Satan in Paradise Lost. But that is irrelevant.
This was definitely interesting and proves to be a staement more or less that the protagonist is shouting to the audience. Sounds as though you are expressing to the world that you can be kicked and pushed and shoved and trampled upon, but you will not be deterred from your goals.
This poem somewhat holds the view of "the ends justify the means" philosophy.
Kind of like Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future Part 2:
"We must succeed"
