The following is an excerpt from missing teenager Robert Thomas' English 11 Poetry Journal. Thomas has been missing for eight days from his Surburban Philadelphia home, and hope is starting to diminish among the local masses.

"Bifocals. . I've never gone without 'em, they include the entire tense. .
Past, present, phuture. . With my glasses, I can't elude my environment
They call me rich and suburban. . But I can see clearly when the signs are posed
Closedminded? They won't let me in the circle; I think that their minds are closed
I need new peers. . Instruct me, somebody, introduce me to the world
They say my world's jewels . Well their culture's been produced within my pearl
Fifty Cent, Eminem. . Mainstream fiends most have come to emulate and cherish (but, not me)
If these kids really hated me. . I'm pretty sure I could sense the hate and perish
I want their lives. . I want to be urbanized, live between food stamps and pay checks
I want the girls to notice me. . They say, "We're pimps! And you can't have safe sex!"
I want that. . I feel like a nobody, a John Doe. . Even a son of a who
All I want is an opportunity to prove that I can run with their crew."

No updates on the Robert Thomas story, unfortunately, no major leads or evidence
His family has given up hope. . "He was a heavenly seed, and his seed's been heaven-sent."
A gang turf-war may have paid dividends to Robert's disapperance
Angry neighbors say that if Robert's kidnappers are found, "a mob of fists will spear it."
But Robert wished to run with the tough crowd, critics say he brought his doom
If he didn't whiff the scent of death, they say he would've caught it soon
Some say Robert was blinded by mainstream felons with hidden agendas
A bright future was certainly foreshadowed. . From Rob's principal, "The kid was stupendous. ."
A scholar athlete, he had it all. . He left a life of fair cops and order
But he was targeted from the moment that his first hair hopped "the border"
How do we remember Robert? No talk, a case ensnared by spoken masses. .
Suburbia falls, the case is solved. . Wait, what is this!?
