Nothing wrong with Pop-Hip-Hop.

Unless it caters too much for the audience, and therefore leaves very little substance to it. i.e. becomes watered down and hollow.

Thing is, there's too much of the latter nowadays. But that's cos hip-hop has grown so much. And gone right into the mainstream of music. It's got caught up in the 'machine'. Like most music genres do once they get there.

But you're probably talking about pop with a different definition. The watered down, overly manufactured part. Catering too much for the audience, losing the art and substance. So i'll leave it at that...
